Statement on Exolaunch's launch heritage and activities in response to false claims
We are aware of several online articles spread by a Ukrainian private firm aimed at misrepresenting the company's history and undermining our reputation. We strongly deny these claims and transparently provide our statements on this matter below.
Definitive Statements
We assert that:
-
Exolaunch does not hold and has never held any corporate affiliations with Roscosmos or any other governmental or commercial entities elsewhere and has never depended on any third-party entity outside of Germany;
-
Being self-funded and growing through reinvestment of revenue, Exolaunch has not had any external investors, nor debt, to-date;

Additionally, Exolaunch operates subsidiaries in the United States, France and Japan;
-

-
Berlin is an international business hub that brings together professionals from diverse cultural and national backgrounds. In such an environment, it is a common and widely accepted practice for individuals to adapt or use a surname that is more commonly recognized or easier to use within the DACH region for purposes of social integration and practical communication. All surname changes among our employees are a standard and lawful personal practice, such as following the adoption of another parent's surname or a spouse's surname.
ANY INFORMATION PUBLISHED THAT IS CONTRARY TO THESE STATEMENTS IS CATEGORICALLY FALSE.
The company reserves the right to take immediate legal action against any individual or organization that creates, publishes, or disseminates false information intended to harm the company's reputation.
Broader Context
Exolaunch has experienced tremendous growth over the past few years. We have launched 675 customer satellites, completed 42 launch campaigns, and have several hundred more satellites under contract for future launches. We have recently expanded our team and facilities, released multiple new products and added new launch vehicles to our portfolio. This has solidified our position as the world's leading provider of launch, deployment and mission management services for the small satellite industry.
Exolaunch's growth and continuous performance have attracted interest from institutions seeking to invest in the company and participate in our rapid growth trajectory. This has included an unsolicited offer to invest in and acquire Exolaunch from a personality of Ukrainian origin who is well-known in the space industry. Immediately after our refusal to accept one such acquisition opportunity on the terms proposed, statements started to appear online attempting to misrepresent our history and the background of our employees. Negative online articles and their authors / organizations have clear ties back to the mentioned personality. These articles and allegations aiming to undermine our reputation are incorrect and do not reflect Exolaunch's activities and heritage.
To prevent any further speculation on this topic, we deny any allegations and correct this campaign against the company.
Company's past work using the Soyuz launch vehicle
Along with other international launch integrators, Exolaunch supported its customers' missions with Soyuz launches in the past. We first participated in a Soyuz rideshare launch campaign in April 2013, and we subsequently arranged six additional Soyuz launches for our global customer base through September 2020. This represents 7 of the company's 42 launches to-date. All of our launch activities are transparently listed on the Exolaunch website and can be independently verified.
All access to Soyuz rideshare launches was provided through commercial launch contracts with the joint-stock company Glavkosmos (at that time an authorized commercial Soyuz launch operator). The business relationships between Exolaunch and Glavkosmos were maintained on a standard commercial Customer - Provider basis. In the early 2010s, the Indian PSLV and Russian Soyuz rideshare launch programs were the first programs to open access to commercial rideshare opportunities for global smallsat manufacturers. Most of the international smallsat manufacturers, as well as global space agencies and scientific institutions, took advantage of these opportunities to support the fledgling New Space industry and access low Earth orbit.
Starting from the first quarter of 2022, cooperation in launch services using the Russian Soyuz became impossible for Exolaunch and its customers; therefore, the cooperation between Exolaunch and Glavkosmos was completely suspended and no commercial discussions or activities have taken place since this time.
