MISSION MANAGER – ENTRY LEVEL

JOB SUMMARY

As a Junior Mission Manager, you will join a team of highly skilled, motivated, and entrepreneurial professionals who will oversee and guide your development. You will start by providing support in the planning and execution of existing missions in our portfolio. This ranges from testing payloads to planning satellite clusters and interacting with our counterparties on the launch and satellite customer sides of the campaign.
Your capabilities and personal drive will determine your workload and responsibility.

The Junior Mission Manager is an entry-level position with a six-month trial period during which you will demonstrate your technical and personal qualities. The goal is to transition qualified specialists into full-time, permanent roles within Exolaunch as Mission Managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Eventually, act as the point of contact for multiple MicroSat/CubeSat customers. 
  • Manage all technical deliverables and deadlines for missions on multiple launch vehicles.
  • Design, plan and execute separation system and satellite test campaigns.
  • Travel to launch sites to support integration campaigns.
  • Draft and maintain technical documentation.
  • Support sales and marketing activities by participating at trade shows and providing technical sales support.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Structural or Electrical Engineering, or similar. Masters degree preferred.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar is a must.
  • Engineering experience in the space industry is preferred, especially hands-on experience working with tools/equipment. Engineering experience outside of the space industry will be considered for exceptional candidates.
  • Outgoing personality, positive attitude, striving to demonstrate ability and desire to work independently.
  • Team player, eager to learn, comfortable with constructive criticism.
  • Very detail-oriented.

MECHANICAL production engineer

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a Mechanical Production Engineer who will be responsible for development and production of company hardware. The ideal candidate should have communication and engineering skills, manage communication with external production facilities and have the will to improve existing manufacturing processes. Moreover, you can work independently, act sovereign in combination with purposeful communication in German and English. If these points apply to you then we definitely want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Design of flight and ground equipment mechanical components.
  • Rapid prototyping of mechanical components (3D printing).
  • Take a hands-on role with assembly, integration, and testing.
  • Launch campaign support, launch site operations.
  • Keep track of produced hardware and storage options.
  • Search for external manufacturing options and communicate with them.

Required Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Other degrees will be considered for the right candidates.
  • Experience building mission-critical hardware and supporting hardware testing.
  • At least 2-years of experience in 3D modelling in SolidWorks.
  • Experience with Altium Designer is a plus.
  • Outgoing personality, positive attitude, ability to take responsibility and work independently.
  • Team player, eager to learn, comfortable with constructive criticism.
  • Willingness to work non-standard hours, particularly during our launch campaigns.
  • Fluent in English and German.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the aerospace or automotive industry.

TEST Engineer

JOB SUMMARY

As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the tests that ensure the quality and the functionality of our products. You are involved in all phases of the testing program, from designing the test parameters to troubleshooting errors, and writing up final test procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead test campaigns for all Exolaunch products.
  • Develop launch site integration and testing procedures.
  • Design test fixtures and prepare them for manufacture.
  • Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating testing activities.
  • Writing reports and compiling data regarding test procedures.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven expertise as an electrical engineer, Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; MSc is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience working with tools.
  • Understanding of structures and dynamic behavior a plus.
  • Experience in conducting test campaigns a plus.
  • Fluent in English and German.

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER

We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager who will be responsible for logistical processes and supporting testing campaigns. The ideal candidate should have analytical and engineering skills, manage communication between the stakeholders and have the will to improve running / existing operational processes.   • Anticipate product needs plan delivery and test schedules.
  • Perform international logistics tasks such as import and export of satellite clusters.
  • Manage the inventory of Exolaunch products.
  • Assist in Export and Import declaration including obtaining required documents.
  • Assist in implementation of test campaigns, including documentation maintenance.
  • Export control experience beneficial.
  • Validate software using hardware-in-the-loop tests for reliable, production-level deployments.

The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in the space industry, preferably in the NewSpace sector, with a proven network of solid relationships and strong knowledge of the launch and small satellite industry. You have to be a self-starter, capable of working with minimal supervision, focused on delivering tangible results. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop wins strategies for new business pursuits for the U.S. market.
  • Develop strategic customer accounts and cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Identify new products and adjacent market opportunities in the U.S.
  • Perform tactical functions: prepare multiyear quote proposals, manage sales/engineering/customer interface, establish pricing, perform negotiations, review contracts and perform marketing analysis.
  • Manage customers and the associated pipeline of opportunities.
  • Manage relations with Exolaunch sales, marketing, and mission management teams.
  • Manage relations with launch vehicle providers and maximize the associated pipeline of opportunities.
