CarboNIX

Microsatellite Separation System

CarboNIX is a scalable separation system that is available in sizes of 8", 15" and 24" diameter for microsatellites weighting from 10 up to 400 kg. CarboNIX uses patented shock-free technology to reduce the risk of damaging sensitive satellites optical payloads and electronic components. In addition, CarboNIX uses a unique synchronous spring pusher system which separates satellites smoothly and evenly, without unwanted shocks or tumbling, making it the lowest-shock and lowest-tumbling separation system ever used in space.

Shock-free deployment

Completely shock-free linear deployment with an average tumbling rate of less than 1°/s after release.

Fast Reset Time

The whole system can be triggered and reset in minutes.

Flexible

Available in the sizes 8", 15" and 24" CarboNIX can be adapted to any launch vehicle and any microsat base plate.

Cluster Compatible

As an in-house development by EXOLAUNCH, CarboNIX can easily be adapted to a large cluster launch configurations.

Lightweight

CarboNIX 15" weighs 2.6 kg. in total and a flyaway mass of only 330g.

Itar-Free

The system is not subject to export restrictions of any kind.

Flight Heritage

CarboNIX has successful flight heritage on Falcon 9 and Soyuz-2. Flown on 8 missions, deployed 30 Microsats.
